What is a wall light with a PIR sensor?
A wall light with a pir sensor is a lighting fixture that features a built-on motion sensor that automatically turns the light on when motion is detected. This is a great option for adding a level of security to the exterior of your property and is also a great option if you just want your light to turn on when arriving home.

Can the PIR sensors be adjusted?
Yes, the majority of sensors that are built onto exterior wall lights allow you to adjust the settings to meet your requirements. The three main settings are as follows:
- Range Sensitivity - this allows you to alter the distance that the sensor will detect. For example, if you live near a road you will need to reduce the range so it does not detec pedestrians. The maximum range can usually be up to around 8 meters.
- Time - this allows you to adjust how long the light stays on for when motion is deteced. Models can vary however they often range from around 30 seconds up to 10 minutes.
- Daylight Sensitivity - this setting lets you choose how dark it needs to be before the motion sensor begins to detect motion.
