The UK design team create exceptional, original lighting designs that add individuality, excitement and ambience to any home, inside and out, big or small. It has been quite a journey for där lighting from a spare bedroom in 1971 to a leading UK brand of lighting.
The founder was a young art student. Working on a project “lighting for the home” he recognised there was little choice or modern design in home lighting products. Inspired by his summer travels to create handwoven lampshades he started his mission to bring beauty and choice to the lighting market. By taking his products to his customers himself in his small van he learned the incredible importance of building a relationship with his customers and understanding the person searching for their perfect light. Only by really understanding what was wanted could he provide it. From this lesson he built up a reputation for unusual and desirable products and great customer service. där lighting was born and the rest, as they say, is history.
